George Graham claims Arsenal have nothing to fear when Chelsea’s Fernando Torres takes to the field in Saturday’s crunch Premier League tie.
The striker has started the season well, scoring three goals in the Blues’ opening eight fixtures, but is still to reach the heights he achieved during his time at Liverpool.
And former Gunners manager Graham believes the Spaniard’s best days are behind him.
“You have to wonder what’s happened to the Fernando Torres that was introduced at Liverpool?” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show.
“He looked fantastic, was flying up either flank and making great runs. I just can’t see him doing that again.
“Since he’s gone to Chelsea he’s not a hold up player, he always wants the ball in channels."
Roberto Di Matteo’s side arrive at the Emirates top of the table but Graham claims his former side will give Chelsea a real test.
“Arsenal have had a great start to the season,” he went on to say. “I’ve been very impressed with the individual players that they’ve bought and they look like a team now.”
