Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor is a major doubt for the Capital One Cup tie against Norwich on Wednesday night.
Adebayor was hoping for a rare place in the starting XI after failing to begin a game under Andre Villas-Boas this season.
But the former Arsenal and Manchester City forward was sent home from training on Monday morning with a stomach bug and is now facing a race against time to prove his fitness for the cup tie at Carrow Road.
Tottenham assistant coach Steffen Freund said: "Adebayor came in sick and we need to see how he is tomorrow. I can’t say at the moment which team will travel but it will be a strong one."
