David Beckham has spoken out in support of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez – claiming the Uruguayan is ‘amazing’.
The Reds striker has come under fire in recent weeks for his perceived diving but showed the better side of his game when scoring a late equaliser for Brendan Rodgers’ side in the 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Sunday.
And Beckham, whose La Galaxy side lost 1-0 to San Jose over the weekend, has backed the 25-year-old to show the Premier League just how good he is.
“The goal against Newcastle was exceptional,” he said. “The way he brought the ball down, everything about it was amazing. I’m a Man United fan and I don’t like to say that about Liverpool players!
“His first touch was incredible, his second was even better. He’s a great player and he’s capable of doing those things week in, week out.”
