Sir Alex Ferguson has won the Barclays Premier League manager of the month award for October, whilst Chelsea's Juan Mata has picked up the player of the month award.
The Red Devils chief has seen his side pick up nine points, from a possible nine, with wins over Newcastle United, Stoke and Chelsea.
"We've got a great set up here," Sir Alex Ferguson said. "I've got great staff and the players of course, they are the reason I'm getting this award there is no question about that so I am very pleased."
Chelsea star Juan Mata was instrumental in the wins against Norwich and Tottenham, and also scored a goal in the loss to Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
Mata said of the award: "My main job is to assist not to score but of course the best feeling, if you are a football player, is scoring goals so this month has been very good for me."
