QPR's assistant manager, Mark Bowen, has rubbished suggestions that Harry Redknapp would be a good replacement for Mark Hughes.
Redknapp is still searching for a new job after leaving Tottenham, who he guided to fourth spot last season, and has been heavily linked to the Rs as the pressure continues to mount on their winless manager.
Despite failing to chalk up a Premier League victory in any of their opening ten fixtures, former Welsh international Bowen believes that replacing Hughes with Redknapp would be a big mistake.
Bowen has served as assistant manager to Hughes in the Premier League with Blackburn, Man City and Fulham, where he believes the duo proved they can climb out of trouble.
"When we went to Fulham, at Christmas time we lost to West Ham at home 3-1 and we got booed off the pitch and everyone was screaming for Mark Hughes to leave - we were second or third from bottom," he explained. "That year we finished eighth."
