Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that Sandro is in line to make his return from injury at Manchester City - but Mousa Dembele, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Scott Parker are still weeks away from first-team action.
Sandro limped out the 1-0 defeat at home to Wigan last weekend with a calf injury and subsequently missed the 3-1 win against Maribor on Thursday.
But Villas-Boas is confident that he will able to call upon the Brazilian enforcer for Sunday's trip to the Premier League champions.
Speaking after the Europa League win on Thursday night, the Spurs manager said: "Sandro worked well on his recovery, he might be available for the weekend. He's the only one."
However, the Portuguese admitted that several other first-team regulars are still expected to be out of contention for the foreseeable future.
He added: "We have some good positive signs regarding the long-term injuries. [Mousa] Dembele has been recovering away from us with his physio. We are still waiting for him to see how he feels.
"We're making strong progress with Benoit [Assou-Ekotto] and [Scott] Parker. There is positive progress but we're still not looking for them for the next [few] weeks. But [we're hopeful of having] them back soon in training."
