Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes reveals he is disappointed that his team continue to be punished by defensive errors in games he believes they deserve to win.
Rangers put in a capable performance against Stoke on Saturday but were foiled by a single Charlie Adam goal, and the manager voiced his frustrations with QPR's costly mistakes.
“It’s disappointing because we’ve had a number of games where we have done really well but haven’t taken anything from them, that’s the frustration,” said Hughes
“If we had got a goal it would have capped a very good first half for us, but it wasn’t to be.
“In general play I thought we were much the dominant team.
“You know that if you don’t take your chances there’s always a danger that you might concede going the other way because Stoke will always put the ball into the box and you have to deal with things dropping in and around you.
“Unfortunately we made a mistake, one of the few mistakes we made at the back because I thought defensively we were very good today, better than we had been in recent weeks.
“But we made one mistake and at the moment every mistake we make is getting punished.”
