Tottenham midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson believes his side need to take something from the north London derby if they are maintain a serious challenge for a top four finish this season.
The north London club looked to have got their season back on track after winning five out of six Premier League games, including an impressive victory at Old Trafford against Manchester United.
Spurs have now slipped to seventh in the table, but Sigurdsson is convinced they have the quality to turn things around and he knows the importance of closing the gap on the top four.
The Icelandic star said: "We went to Old Trafford in September and got the three points and, apart from a couple of off days, we have been doing well.
"We were on a good run, but after Wigan we want to put that right, win games and try to stay up there with the top teams.
"We have got a couple of really important games coming up and if we pick up the points in those games we can be right up there around Christmas time."
