Roberto Martinez claims it is impossible to put a value on Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.
The Reds star has been linked with a £50million move to Manchester City this January, following a superb start to the season for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
But Martinez, whose Wigan team face Liverpool on Saturday, claims it’s hard to determine a market price for the Uruguayan.
“It’s difficult to put a value on a player because it’s how much a particular club wants him,” he told Keys and Gray. “What’s clear is that Luis Suarez has reached a fantastic level of form.
“He’s a player that’s been a part of the majority of Liverpool's goals, directly or indirectly, and that’s a massive role.
“But to put a price on that, it’s hard. Whatever you’re prepared to pay is the value of the player.”
