Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo insists he wants to see Frank Lampard finish his career at Stamford Bridge following reports that the midfielder could follow former team-mates Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka to China.
The chairman of Chinese side Guizhou Renhe claimed earlier this week that he was in talks with the 34-year-old over a move.
Lampard, who joined Chelsea from West Ham in 2001, is out of contract at the end of the season and has yet to be offered a new deal.
It has been suggested that the England midfielder could be on his way out as Di Matteo looks to lower the average age of his squad, but the Italian insists this is wide of the mark.
He said: "Frank's been a fantastic player for us and it would be nice for him to finish his career at Chelsea."
