Exclusive - Hughton delighted with Norwich performance

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton believes his team can pick up more points in the Premier League if they continue to play with the intensity they showed in their 1-0 win over Manchester United on Saturday.

The Canneries coach credited the triumph to a strong team performance and hopes the team can continue their spirited form to improve thier league position.

“I’m absolutely delighted. When you’ve got the wealth of experience that they have and the quality they have, you travel very well,” Hughton told Stan on Call Collymore.

“It was a massive team effort, as it has to be against Man United, and I thought we were worthy of the win.

“We had to be resilient and you’ve got to be sturdy and disciplined, and I thought it was excellent in the middle of the park.

“We have to play at that type of intensity and at that level to get our results. It’s a nice feeling at the moment because we’re picking up some points.

“We can’t underestimate how good this division is, and we certainly don’t, but if we have more days where we put in that type of commitment then we’ve got to have a chance of getting results.”
