Everton will face stiff competition from clubs in Russia and Spain to land Real Madrid youngster Denis Cheryshev.
On Wednesday it was reavealed by talkSPORT that the Toffees had been rebuffed in their bid to sign the 21-year-old last week.
Cheryshev, who is rated as one of the finest players in Real Madrid's B team, made his debut for Russia last week and was called up to Jose Mourinho's first-team squad for the first time for the Champions League clash with Manchester City on Wednesday night.
Mourinho views the winger as a future star, and is reluctant to cash in on him.
But this has not deterred a string of European clubs from chasing the winger, with Spartak Moscow, Zenit St Petersburg, Anzhi Makhachkala and Lokomotiv Moscow all keen to take the 21-year-old back to his homeland.
And sources in Portugal claim that Getafe, Mallorca and Celta Vigo are all willing to give Cheryshev his chance to shine in La Liga.
