Alan Pardew denies Newcastle are planning move for Benfica striker

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has denied suggestions he's planning a move for Benfica striker Rodrigo.
The former Real Madrid youngster, who enjoyed a loan spell at Bolton during the 2010/11 season, has scored four goals in seven league matches this season.
Reports across the continent claimed Pardew was monitoring the 21-year-old, but the Newcastle manager insists such stories are wide of the mark.
"[The story] is an invention of the journalists. It's all fake," he said.
