New Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has revealed it’s unlikely he will be spending much money during the January transfer window.
The Super Hoops currently sit bottom of the Premier League with only four points from 12 games, and the club are currently without several injured strikers.
But Redknapp insists that due to the club’s movements in the summer market he will only be making the odd signing along with some loan deals.
He told talkSPORT: “We’re not going to go mad in January and spend a load of money. I think they’ve spent money. They bought 12 players in and they’ve got quite a heavy wage bill.
“I don’t see them spending an awful lot of money, maybe we’ll get one or two loans in.
“There are certain positions you’ve got haven’t got to be clever to realise [we’ve got problems in]. They’ve lost Bobby Zamora, Andrew Johnson is injured long-term. Djibril Cisse is the only real striker they’ve got. They’re obviously short in that department.
“Other than that they’re quite strong. They have two keepers, lots of good midfield players and they’re strong in other positions. So, we’ll have to wait and see.”
