Avram Grant believes Fernando Torres can return to his brilliant best – but only if the Chelsea striker sorts his mindset out.
The Blues striker has struggled to find his form since a £50million move from Liverpool in 2011, with many now claiming the Spaniard is a ‘busted flush’.
But former Stamford Bridge chief Grant claims the ex-Reds hitman still has much to give.
“It all depends on what Fernando [Torres] wants,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast. “He needs to start doing his job.
“He’s running everywhere except into the box, which is his strength. It’s not an easy time for him, but it happens to everybody.
“It happened to Didier Drogba and others. He’s still a great player and a great finisher but he needs to concentrate on his strengths.
“I don’t think that a player changes a lot in just a couple of years. He still has the quality but needs to work on the psychological part.”
