Injury boost for Manchester United as Nemanja Vidic and Shinji Kagawa near return from injury
Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Nemanja Vidic will return to the Manchester United squad to face Sunderland in Saturday's Premier League tie.
The Red Devils defender has been out of action since September, after another bout of knee surgery, but could be ready to return to the starting XI for the match against the Black Cats.
"Nemanja is back in the squad," said Ferguson. "He is a top defender and our captain."
There was more good news for Ferguson, who also confirmed Shinji Kagawa would begin training with the first-team again after a two-month absence.
However, Jonny Evans has been ruled out of tomorrow's game with a hamstring injury.
"I felt it would be a problem for Jonny at the start of the second half last week," said Ferguson.
