QPR boost as Morocco leave Adel Taarabt out of their Africa Cup of Nations squad
Queens Park Rangers have been handed a huge boost in their fight for Premier League survival as Adel Taarabt has been left out Morocco’s Africa Cup of Nations squad.
Harry Redknapp, his manager at Loftus Road, had feared he would lose the skilful star for six weeks during the tournament.
But Rachid Taoussi has omitted the 23-year-old from his 24-man squad that he will take to South Africa for the competition in South Africa, which will run from January 19 to February 10.
Aston Villa and Liverpool will, though, lose Karim El Ahmadi and Oussama Assaidi, respectively.
