Exclusive – Curtis: Magnificent Michu just loves to score goals

Swansea City assistant manager Alan Curtis has hailed Spanish star Michu after his incredible impact in the Premier League this season.

The forward joined the club for £2million from Rayo Vallecano and has been undoubtedly one of the signings of the season, netting 14 goals in 22 appearances.

And Curtis has praised his player’s excellent work ethic and eye for goal.

“He’s been absolutely unbelievable, to be fair,” he told the Weekend Sports Breakfast. “You’ve only got to watch him for five or ten minutes in training to know he’s a good player.

“As soon as the games started in pre-season he was sticking goals in for fun and he’s just kept it going throughout the season.

“He’s great to work with as well. He’s one of these players that just loves to train and he loves scoring goals. It’s a great combination.”
