Hristo Stoichkov: Pep Guardiola 'close' to Manchester City
Former FC Barcelona star Hristo Stoichkov has hinted that his old team mate Pep Guardiola could be on his way to Manchester City.
The ex-Barca striker, who won the European Cup alongside the midfielder in 1992, spoke to Spanish radio show Esports Cope about the 41-year-old's future on Tuesday.
“I see Guardiola close to City” said Stoichkov. “The tandem of Txiki [Begiristain] and Pep made history at Barça.”
Stoichkov further noted that he doesn't think the former Spain star will join German side Bayern Munich.
