Chelsea's interim manager Rafael Benitez has been named by Real Madrid's fans as the man they want to see replace Jose Mourinho at the end of the season.
The Spaniard is almost certain to be out of a job at the end of the season but is reportedly confident he can return to the Bernabeu, where he started his coaching career with the youth set-up.
And there may well be a vacancy at the Spanish champions in the summer, with Jose Mourinho seemingly on his way out of the club after falling out with a number of players, including captain Iker Casillas.
And a poll conducted by Spanish newspaper Marca has shown that fans may rekindle a past rivalry, with Benitez backed as the man Real fans want to succeed Mourinho.
But opinion is split, with the 52-year-old only receiving 21.4% of the votes in the poll, with current Germany boss Joachim Loew coming second with 19.5%.
But at least Benitez can be confident of the fans’ support if he did leave Stamford Bridge for Madrid, if the poll is accurate of course.
