Arsenal miss out on Napoli star Eduardo Vargas as he joins Gremio on year-long loan deal
Arsenal have missed out on Eduardo Vargas, who has moved to Gremio on a year-long loan deal.
Arsene Wenger is in the market for a forward this month and despite being linked with Napoli's Edinson Cavani, a move appears a non-starter.
Cavani would cost well over £30m but his Napoli team-mate Vargas was a cheaper option - and Wenger was keen.
But the Chile international, 23, was not up for a move to England has instead moved to Gremio for a year on loan.
