AC Milan have confirmed they have reached an agreement to sign Mario Balotelli from Manchester City.
The striker will move to the San Siro on a four-and-a-half year contract, subject to a successful medical on Wednesday.
It is understood the deal for the Italy international is worth around £20million, with some of the fee being made up by bonuses.
AC Milan's organising director Umberto Gandini said on Twitter: "Transfer agreement for Balotelli signed with Manchester City. Medical is tomorrow in Milan, then personal terms until 2017 will be signed."
Balotelli joined City from Inter Milan in 2010 for around £24m but his time at Eastlands has been dogged by controversy.
There have been numerous training ground bust-ups, his most recent with manager Roberto Mancini, and his future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks.
The 22-year-old has made just two substitute appearances since a dire performance against Manchester United at the beginning of December and he now looks certain to seal a move away from the Premier League champions, with a move to Milan set to be finalised on Wednesday.
