Tottenham star Jermain Defoe will miss England’s friendly with Brazil on Wednesday.
The striker was substituted just before half time in Spurs’ 1-0 victory over West Brom after he turned his ankle while trying to avoid a challenge.
And his manager Andre Villas-Boas has admitted he will miss the Wembley international, and possibly be out of action for up to three weeks.
The player will go for a scan on his injury in the coming days.
