Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has told talkSPORT that the players do not see the Europa League as a hindrance.
The Blues have dropped into the competition due to their third place finish in their Champions League group.
And, despite them now facing the prospect of several extra games if they are to lift the trophy, the Spanish right-back is insisting they want to create history and win the tournament.
“It’s not the same [as the Champions League], it’s true, because the Champions League is the top but the Europa League is a big competition and we have the chance to win it.
“Never in the history of Chelsea have we won this cup and we are going to try and win it.”
