West Brom defender, Steven Reid, has saluted the heroics of Baggies goalkeeper Ben Foster following their 2-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield.
Foster pulled off a series of fine saves to keep the visitors in contention throughout the game, with the highlight being a brilliant dive to deny Steven Gerrard from the penalty spot.
And Reid told talkSPORT that the reported £4million fee the club paid for the 29-year-old’s services has been justified by his consistent performances.
“He’s one of the top English keepers and he kept us in it,” he told Sports Bar’s Andy Goldstein and Jason Cundy.
“He’s brilliant. He’s one that we spent big on, and we don’t do that too often.
“But with performances like that you can see why we spent the money.
“Obviously the highlight of the saves was the penalty, which was top draw.”
