Gremio sign Arsenal left-back on loan

Arsenal defender Andre Santos has joined Brazilian side Gremio until the end of the season.

The left-back, 29, was out of favour at the Emirates with Kieran Gibbs’ form initially keeping him out of the first-team this campaign.

But the signing of Spanish star Nacho Monreal, for around £8million, has pushed the Brazil star down the pecking order in north London.

And he has now opted to play regular football in his home nation.
