Emanuel Pogatetz has expressed his urge to win a permanent contract at West Ham United once his loan deal ends at the end of the season.
The defender made his first start for the club in the 2-1 loss to Aston Villa, following the injuries to James Collins and George McCartney.
Pogatetz said: "It is brilliant to be here. The pace of the game, the crowd and also the group of lads and how we go about things.
"I will try my best and hopefully I will be able to stay a little bit longer than just four months, we will see how it works at the end of the season.
"We have targets and hopefully I can achieve mine personally as well."
The 30-year-old feels that the team can bounce back after another away defeat and get back to winning ways.
He added: "For me, the most important thing is that this group is really together, I noticed that on the very first day I arrived.
"I think that is the most important thing I have learned through my career, that people have to get on.
"That is why I am not worried about the last stage of the season. I think we have a really good group of lads, so I think we will get some more points and then everyone will be happy at the end."
