Jose Mourinho has confirmed he is aiming for a return to the Premier League when he leaves Real Madrid - but not to manage Manchester United.
Mourinho has endured a rocky period in charge of the Los Blancos, having fallen out of favour with the Spanish media, as well as many of the club’s senior players according to reports.
But the Portuguese coach’s reputation in England remains intact, with many tipping the former Chelsea boss to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at the United helm.
But Mourinho has revealed he doesn’t expect to take over from the Scot, as he believes Fergie will continue his role well into his nineties.
“No, I don't believe so,” he said, when asked if he could replace Ferguson.
"I think we have to end our career at the same time. Him at 90 and me at 70.
"But I will go back to England after Real Madrid. We will just have to see [when that is].
"I love everything [about England]. England will be my next step."
