Sampdoria star snubs Man City and signs new deal

Pedro Obiang has rejected the chance of a move to Manchester City by officially signing his contract extension at Sampdoria - just as talkSPORT revealed.

The midfielder, 20, has been tracked by Roberto Mancini at City and the Italian was expected to make a move this summer for him.

But Obiang, capped at Under-21 level for Spain, was not up for a switch to England.

And Sampdoria have now announced that he has put pen to paper on a contract until 2017.
