Former Portsmouth midfielder Sean Davis has told talkSPORT that Harry Redknapp can still keep QPR in the Premier League.
The Super Hoops’ survival hopes took a huge blow as they slipped to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa and they now sit seven points adrift of safety at the bottom of the Premier League.
And Davis, who was managed by Redknapp at Fratton Park, reckons his superb management skills will help the west London side bounce back from the loss as they look to retain their place in the top flight.
“This defeat won’t get him down,” he told the Weekend Sports Breakfast. “Obviously it’s a massive blow for QPR but I’m sure he’ll rally the troops.”
And asked how he is able to get so much from his players, Davis replied: It’s just his man management skills. He knows how to talk to each individual.
“He got the best out of me sometimes when he didn’t really have to say too much. He’d probably not play me in one game and I’d play the next game and prove to him that I should be in the starting line up.”
