Avram Grant believes Frank Lampard will stay at Chelsea beyond this season.
The 34-year-old is out of contract in the summer and the Blues have yet to offer him a new deal.
But Grant expects the midfielder, who struck his 200th goal for the club in Sunday’s 2-0 win over West Ham, to remain at Stamford Bridge.
“Frank is good for Chelsea. He is like Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs for Manchester United," said Grant, who managed the west London club for eight months before being sacked in May 2008 and remains close to owner Roman Abramovich.
“He is good in the dressing room. He is ambitious to win titles, which I think all the young players at Chelsea need. There is some good talent that needs that winning mentality Frank can bring.
“I have a feeling that Frank will stay at Chelsea for one more year at least.”
