Drenthe: Baines one of the world's best

Leighton Baines has been hailed as one of the world's best left-backs by his Everton team-mate
Royston Drenthe.

Drenthe, a summer loan signing from Real Madrid, has been playing on the left of midfield, directly in front of the England international, and he believes Baines helps to bring out the best in him.

Baines is back up to Ashley Cole in the England squad, but Drenthe insists the 26-year-old is on a par with the Chelsea star.

"At the moment I am playing with one of the best left-backs in the world," said Drenthe. "Leighton has really good qualities.

"We had a good relationship right from the beginning and that is really important. He can understand me and I can understand him - I am really happy to play with someone like that."
