Avram Grant has accused Tottenham of trying to take advantage of West Ham’s precarious financial situation in their summer pursuit of Scott Parker.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp made a £7m bid for the England international, which was rejected by the Hammers.
Parker, 29, was also a target for Liverpool but earlier this month signed a new five-year deal at Upton Park.
And Grant said: “Tottenham wanted Scott Parker - a lot of teams did. They [Spurs] knew our financial situation and tried to take advantage of this.
“They said they wanted him and that's all. What I heard was Liverpool wanted him - Spurs too.
“It didn't interest me because I knew he wanted to stay. Scott Parker saw the bigger picture and I'm happy he stayed.”
