Roberto Mancini has admitted Manchester City will not win the Premier League this season - predicting champions Chelsea will easily retain their title.
The Italian has spent more than £120million this summer bringing in the likes of David Silva, Jerome Boateng and Yaya Toure and many have tipped City to be serious title challengers.
But, ahead of the clash with Chelsea at Eastlands on Saturday, Mancini concedes his new look side are way behind their opponents, who are four points clear at the top of table after five straight wins.
"Chelsea are the best team in the Premier League at the moment. They are probably going to win the Premier League title easily," said Mancini.
"They are a strong team, who have been playing together for many years. They have a fantastic manager and they have worked to reach this situation."
City currently trail Chelsea by seven points and they will have to make do without a number of key players for tommorow's match, with Micah Richards, Wayne Bridge, Aleksandar Kolarov, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Boateng all set to miss out through injury.
"I am disappointed we have all these injuries. I only have 11 players who are 100 per cent," added Mancini.
"I’m disappointed having all these players injured at this moment, it’s an important moment for us."
