Chelsea dropped further behind the title-chasing pack as they were held to a 0-0 draw by an impressive Norwich side.

The home side dominated the opening exchanges as Grant Holt and Steve Morison gave David Luiz and John Terry a tough time in Norfolk.

Holt, the highest scoring Englishman in the Premier League, tested Petr Cech with a couple of earlier efforts while his partner in crime, Morison, hit the side netting in the first period.

Torres endured a fruitless afternoon as John Ruddy, who has been a stand-out performer for the Canaries all season, thwarted the Spaniard at every opportunity.

Even Juan Mata couldn’t find a way past the shot stopper who pulled off a fine stop low at his near post, when the World Cup winner fired a shot in from close range.

But in the end neither side could grab a winner and Chelsea, on a weekend where four of the top five teams all play each other; look they will lose more ground on the sides above them.

Andre Villas-Boas’ side remain fourth, 10 points behind Manchester City, while also don’t move up the table, staying ninth.
