Jermain Defoe and Aaron Lennon are both rated as extremely doubtful for the Premier League game against Liverpool on Monday night.

The attacking duo were forced to miss the 3-1 win over Wigan on Tuesday night with hamstring injuries and assistant manager Kevin Bond is unsure whether they will have enough time to prove their fitness ahead of the big clash at Anfield.

Bond admitted: "They are both extremely doubtful for Monday. The medical people are working hard on them to see if they can get them there."

Tottenham are also sweating over the fitness of Rafael Van Der Vaart, who picked up a calf injury during the Wigan game.

Bond added: "It is a bit early to say what his chances are."
