Sir Alex Ferguson has added his voice to the growing calls for Harry Redknapp to be the next England boss.
Redknapp is the overwhelming favourite to succeed Fabio Capello and Ferguson reckons the Tottenham manager is a perfect fit for the role.
"There is no doubt Harry Redknapp is the best man," the Manchester United manager said. "The press have decided. Harry is the best man.
"He has the experience and personality and the knowledge of the game. He has changed the fortunes of every club he has been at. He is the right choice."
There have been suggestions Redknapp could juggle the England job with his Tottenham post.
But Ferguson, who combined being Aberdeen boss with leading Scotland at the 1986 World Cup, has warned: "I tried it myself with Scotland in Mexico. I found it very difficult."
