Fabio Capello has hinted he could be open to remaining in England as a manager after ruling out working in Italy.
The Italian dramatically resigned from his post as England manager this week after what he perceived to be a challenge to his authority from the Football Association.
The FA removed the captaincy from John Terry as a result of the legal proceedings against him regarding an alleged racist taunt towards Anton Ferdinand.
Capello quit in fury and has since been linked with numerous managerial posts including Inter Milan, Anzhi and Chelsea.
Andre Villas-Boas' future will come under greater scrutiny in the summer if Chelsea fail to finish in the top four and reports have linked Capello with a shock switch to Stamford Bridge.
And Capello, speaking to 'Striscia la notizia' -an Italian television program on the Mediaset-controlled Canale 5 - says he won't return to Italy to work.
Capello said: "I left England because there were several clashes so I could not work. I have had that in the past.
"But this is a moment where I had to quit. I want to continue working but not in Italy, absolutely not.
"Now it's time to relax and then I will decide my future."
