Exclusive - Roberts backs Norwich for FA Cup run

Former Norwich forward Iwan Roberts has been speaking about the brilliant season his former club have been enjoying in the Premier League, whilst also talking up their chances in the FA Cup.

The Canaries lie 8th in the table despite being one of the relegation favourites in the summer. Norwich’s young squad has shown no fear in the Premier League, and their attacking play has been scintillating at times this season.

“They’ve been outstanding, what a season”, said Roberts. “The secret is they go into every game trying to win it, they’re not defensive at all, they’re a very attacking side, and they’ve scored plenty of goals.”

Canaries Boss Paul Lambert also gets Roberts’ plaudits: “The manager is such a positive man. He’ll try and win every game that he goes into.”

“He’s brought players in who are hungry, young, and British, and I think they’ve got a point to prove.”

“I can’t see why they can’t go to the semi final, and maybe the final, with the season they’ve had in the Premier League”.
