Van Der Vaart ready to return for Tottenham against Arsenal
Rafael Van Der Vaart is hoping to give Tottenham a major injury boost and declare his fitness for the north London derby against Arsenal on Sunday.
Van der Vaart has been forced to miss the last three games after picking up a calf injury during the 3-1 win over Wigan last month.
There were fears the Dutch international would be missing once again for the big game at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
But Van der Vaart is hoping to resume training on Wednesday and show Harry Redknapp that he is ready to win back his place in the first-team.
Van der Vaart said: "I'm recovering well from my injury. I expect to be joining the team training on Wednesday after which I will start to focus on the match against Arsenal. I'll be happy to play Arsenal. I can't wait."
