Arsenal target Marvin Martin has hinted he could still move to the Premier League in the near future, despite signing a contract extension with Sochaux.
The 23-year-old was tracked by Arsene Wenger this summer, and even had a bid for the Frenchman as he tried to replace Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas.
But a deal with the Gunners fell through when Martin signed a deal keeping him at the Ligue 1 side until 2015.
However, he has now revealed there is a get-out clause in his contract which would allow him to move on next summer, opening the door to renewed interest from Arsenal.
He told L’Equipe: ‘We had good talk and we found an agreement.’
‘The officials made a promise. Indeed, an agreement to let me leave. I will remain at Sochaux until the end of the season.’
