PSG open bidding for Liverpool and Chelsea target

Lucas Ocampos is being trailed by Liverpool, Chelsea and PSG

PSG have opened the bidding for Argentine whiz-kid Lucas Ocampos, who is wanted by Liverpool and Chelsea.

The wealthy French club are hoping to get their transfer business done early this summer and, according to RMC Sports radio station, have already lodged an offer with River Plate for Ocampos.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder, who has been likened to Cristiano Ronaldo, has been hailed as one of south America's brightest stars.

It has been reported that a move to Europe beckons at the end of the season - and the Premier League could be his destination.

But PSG are hoping to steal a march on Ocampos' English admirers by offering River Plate £10m for his services.

That figure is unlikely to persuade the Argentine club to sell, with president Daniel Passarella understood to want at least £15m for the youngster.

But it is likely that Qatari-owned PSG will be willing to raise their offer if it means landing Ocampos.
