Hamburg have announced their intention to make a move for Dirk Kuyt this summer.
Dutchman Kuyt is expected to leave Liverpool for around £1m and numerous clubs are keen, including Feyenoord - the side he left to move to Anfield.
The 31-year-old is set to be phased out to make way for younger blood at the club and Hamburg have been in touch.
Frank Arnesen, sporting director at Hamburg, told Bild: "Kuyt is still very fit and strong and still has a lot to offer,' he said.
"He is a big-hearted player with a great spirit, and there is no doubt he can give a great deal to whichever club he plays for.
"He is an excellent team player, very impressive all round, so we will see what happens."
