Wenger denies Arsenal deal for M'Vila is done

Arsene Wenger has denied reports that he is closing in on a deal to sign Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila.

It has been reported that Arsenal are on the verge of completing their move for the highly-rated Frenchman with a fee of £17.7m suggested.

Arsenal have already announced the summer signing of Lukas Podolski from Cologne but Wenger insists there are currently no other imminent transfers.

"It's not true a deal is done for M'Vila," he said.

"We have not been in touch with anybody and we are not near to any deals for anybody."
