Inter join Liverpool and Newcastle in chase for French ace
Liverpool and Newcastle have been alerted to reports in France that Inter Milan have made a bid for Aly Cissokho.
Lyon's French defender is valued at £11m and Inter have tried to steal a march on their Premier League rivals with a cheeky £6m offer.
That will not be sufficient to clinch the signature of the 24-year-old left-back, but it could be enough to set the ball rolling and start negotiations.
Either way, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers and his Newcastle counterpart Alan Pardew now know they face competition if they want to bring Cissokho to England this summer.
