Villas-Boas rules out Tottenham move for Carroll
New Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has ruled out a move for unsettled Liverpool striker Andy Carroll.
Carroll, 23, is the subject of much speculation after Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers revealed that he is entertaining the idea of loaning out the £35m forward next season.
The former Newcastle man was strongly linked with a move to Spurs prior to his record-breaking transfer to Liverpool in January 2011, but Villas-Boas insists he has no intention of luring Carroll to White Hart Lane.
"I'm not sure of Liverpool's intentions on Andy Carroll but he is certainly not a player we are looking for," said Villas-Boas.
