Lazio are lining up a bid for Manchester City defender Kolo Toure.
The Ivorian cost City £16m when he joined from Arsenal back in 2009 but has fallen behind Vincent Kompany and Joleon Lescott in the first-team pecking order.
The centre-back, who started just eight Premier League games for the champions last season, is out of contract in June, when he could leave the Etihad Stadium on a free transfer.
But Lazio are hoping to strike a deal with City to land Toure before the summer transfer window shuts.
Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport claim that Lazio would be willing to offer 31-year-old Toure a lengthy contract at the club.
But it is unclear whether Lazio could match Toure's current wage at City - although they could guarantee him first-team football.
