AC Milan are lining up a shock loan approach for Cesc Fabregas, according to reports in Italy.
The former Arsenal star has recently admitted he is unhappy with his role in Tito Vilanova's Barcelona side - but insists he wants to stay.
Italian giants Milan, however, reckon they could tempt him to the San Siro on a short-term basis with the promise of a starring role in their team.
Barca have a good relationship with Milan, having sent Zlatan Ibrahimovic on loan there before he made his switch permanent back in 2011.
And the Serie A side hope to make the most of that relationship once again with a January move for Fabregas, it has been claimed.
Milan know all about Fabregas after the Spaniard scored a famous goal for Arsenal at the San Siro as the London club progressed into the 2008 Champions League quarter-finals at their expense.
