Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu is a target for Valencia, and the La Liga club will send a representative to watch him in action for Spain Under-21s tonight against Croatia, according to reports.
Valencia paper Superdeporte say that Los Che see the Blues ace as a candidate to replace veteran midfielder David Albelda, who at the age of 35 is beginning to wind down his career at the Mestalla.
It's thought that the 20-year old's future at Stamford Bridge will be determined by the amount of football he plays for Chelsea this season following the departure of Raul Meireles.
Though FC Barcelona maintain the option to buy the Spain Under-21 star back from Roberto Di Matteo's side for €15m next summer, the arrival of Alex Song at the Nou Camp could block a return for the youngster, something which could play into Valencia's hands should they make a move.
This isn't the first time the La Liga side have shown an interest in Romeu. Superdeporte previously claimed that Valencia Sporting Director Braulio Vazquez spoke with the midfielder's agent prior to his transfer to Chelsea from FC Barcelona.
