Stevan Jovetic says he turned down a move to Manchester City this summer - and insists he is happy at Fiorentina.
The forward, previously tracked by Liverpool during the Rafael Benitez era, is highly regarded among Europe's top clubs and Roberto Mancini was eager to land the 22-year-old to boost his attacking options.
But the Montenegrin star has revealed he blocked a move to the Etihad in favour of staying in Florence.
"I stopped those negotiations," Jovetic told Gazzetta dello Sport. "By the time they had made their move from England I had already decided I would be staying in Florence.
"Am I happy to still be here? Absolutely, and I have no regrets.
"The objective here is to get back into Europe and I won't leave here until this club is competing at the levels it should be."
